Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin is sorry his state’s health care rollout didn’t go according to plan. “No one is more disappointed than I am that we fell short of our rollout in the exchange, and I take responsibility for those failures,” he said. “I know that we have work to do to restore Vermonters confidence in our ability to get health care right.”
But unlike some other governors, he’s using the setbacks to—I shit you not—encourage his state to overhaul its health care further, with the goal of becoming the first state in the country to go to single-payer. Whoa. Think he can pull it off?

Vermont Problem: We have a pretty ambitious/awesome governor.
